The Goonies and the above movies are very similar in the fact that there are a group of friends and they set off on an adventure of some sort but what sets apart The Goonies is the booby traps, murderers, and Pirates.  All the ingredients to make an action packed, never a dull minute movie.

After finding a treasure map in his parents attic, Mikey and his friends embark on an adventure to find One Eyed Willies treasure.  Along the way the gang faces booby traps, treacherous caverns, and escaped convicts.  The Goonies is an adventure everyone will enjoy with a great cast of characters.

The Goonies is one of my favorite movies.  I have lost track of how many times I have seen this movie.  I see something new every time I watch it.  This film was released in 1985 and on its opening weekend it grossed   $9,105,913 in the U.S.   This film does not look like it appeared on the festival circuit.
